Mech Riot’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Games Of 2015

Last year’s E3 was an exciting time for next gen announcements and so 2015 looks to be another great year to be a gamer! There is so much we’re looking forward to this year in the world of gaming that it was quite a challenge to pick out the ones we are looking forward to the most, BUT the job had to be done and so here are our top 5 most anticipated games of 2015!

Platform: Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS, Vita
Due: April

Although it’s not the most original game coming out this year, Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No 9 looks to provide hours of nostalgic goodness! This Spiritual succession to one of our all time favourite game series “Mega Man” will without a doubt be one we’ll be spending a heck of a lot of time on this year!

Platforms: Xbox One
Due: TBD 2015

This Xbox One exclusive by the famed developer Remedy (Max Payne, Alan Wake), features a time travel experiment gone awry that grants our protagonists the power to manipulate time. This time altering power will be used as major element in the gameplay to evade and also to attack enemies. The game will also be tied into an ongoing television series that will further help to unfold the complete story line.

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC
Due: Holiday 2015

With the game safely back in the hands of DICE it is an exciting time for the Star Wars universe both at the movies and more importantly (from our perspective) VIDEO GAMES! Any fans of this series know that this will be one awesome experience and should not be missed! We can’t wait to pWn some Empire scum!

Platforms: Wii U
Due: TBD 2015

THE LEGEND OF FREAKING ZELDA! I mean seriously… have you heard of it? Of course you have, and this one looks absolutely stunning! What Nintendo fan person would not be shaking with excitement over this one. To be honest it was very hard not to make this number one and I am sure for many of you it is, and rightly so. šŸ˜‰

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PC
Due: TBD 2015

The game that blew the roof off at E3 last year is obviously number one on this list, and although it was made by only a small indy team this is one MASSIVE experience! In NO MAN’S SKY we will be given our very own procedurally generated planet and an ENTIRE UNIVERSE to explore. Each planet you visit will have it’s own unique environment as well as animals and plant life. This game has our Trekkie sides screaming at us “YOU MUST BOLDLY GO! BOLDLY GOOOOOO!!!”.

So this is what we are hanging out for in 2015, how does your list differ? If you can only pick 5 which are yours? Let us know in the comments below – we want to know what you’re counting down for this year! šŸ™‚
